High Peak

We started off a lovely day at St Bees taking in the beach, a short walk up the cliffside and a circular walk across the fields and back down via the Priory (see extra). 

Next was a hop over to Ravenglass for a drink in the pub before an interesting and challenging journey along very narrow roads to Wast Water; narrowly inching past several vehicles coming the other way. It was well worth it though, to see Scafell Pike beyond the lake flanked by Scafell and Lingmell is really something.

A walk around Whitehaven and a supermarket stop for some essentials was enough today to warrant a quiet evening with our feet/paws up - after we've cooked an evening meal that is.
