Here be dragons
my husband took this photo of me and my daughter. It's the first time we have taken her camping, and we chose a site not too far from home, on the side of Dragon Hill (just beneath White Horse Hill). It's a beautiful spot, rustic with minimal amenities, and provides a view of the night-sky untainted by light-pollution (rare in this densely populated part of the world). She loved it, and went a bit feral - I think overawed by the space. Managed to cajole her into bed shortly before midnight.
Dragon Hill is the site where, according to local mythology, St George slew the dragon. There is a patch of bare ground atop the hill - apparently this is where the dragon's blood was spilled.
