Modelling the landscape

So the model railway layout is slowly coming along. Today I painted all the plaster work. Looks pretty decent.

Because this is a first effort and not a permanent display, I decided to paint the track ballast rather than use actual ballast. The sponge effect looks better than I thought it would.

Putting the track back together is the next task followed by more landscaping fun.
