Shaldon Water Carnival

We went to Teignmouth today, crossing over to Shaldon by ferry later on. It was the Shaldon Water Carnival, and this lovely little place was busy, with all sorts of fun going on, including the decorated boats competition. In the blip is a boat representing a hundred and one Dalmatian’s. Shaldon Water Carnival is held on the first Saturday of August on the Beach with children's fancy dress, stalls and games, lifeboat demo, magician and decorated boats followed by a BBQ and live band on the Green.

This boat would have made a change to the historic ferry, as would the boat with the Eiffel Tower - extra. Local community entertainment at its best.
