I'm kelp!
Today we went on the Tofino Hot Springs Tour. A boat took us to Hot Springs Cove. This took an hour and a half and include some detours to see some wildlife like this sea otter. They seemed to like hiding between the kelp that was floating around. In the extra's there's some more sea otters, some seals and sea lions.
When the boat had dropped us off at Hot Springs Cove, a 2km board walk awaited us, which took around half an hour to walk. Then we dipped into the hot spring pools, which we were told had been quite hot recently. I can confirm this: a bit hot to my liking but once you got to the lower pools the temperatures got better.
We had lunch near the hot springs and then we walked back. Once we were on the boat again, our guide brought us to an area where a whale had been spotted. Indeed: we could see the whale, but at quite a distance. Not many opportunities for photography, but great to be able to see the whale. What a great day this has been!
