Read
Next to the sofa I have two bookshelves full of the books which - at the moment - I would happily read for a second, third or fourth time.
This is about a quarter of them, and they are the closest to the sofa. I suspect they are the ones which I would pick up first if I ran out of library books.
The only book I might hesitate over before picking up is Butcher's Broom, which I find utterly heart-rending and hopeless in parts.
I have had a gentle day mostly occupied making a Manchego cheese, but also including a good long walk with Bean while the -4C frost was still lifting.
I have been increasing my walk distance a wee bit each week. Today I realised that my speed has increased: evidenced by the fact that although we are walking 2km more each day than two weeks ago, we are taking no more time than we were then. I take this as a good sign of my improved health. Woohoo!
