Calm during the storm
With temperatures expected to get to near 30°C it was THE day to get out and see some British summer. We set off to see some of Dorset being Dorset, heading to Lulworth Cove for a paddle and some icecream. It was packed, and Niece S astutely commented on how pebbly the beach was, but the beach was covered with families building pebble castles.
Here's Niece C and my brother taking in the scenery and enjoying the cool water.
We finished off the day with fish and chips by the (/another) beach, and a quiet evening of books and tea. Time in Poole is always either stop or go, it all depends on whether the nieces are awake or asleep. But it's always great to get to change the scenery for a little while as well.
