Monfort Chateau

Cold overnight enough to keep me from sleeping properly. When it was time to get up, we saw that the mist had come down over the River Dordogne. It soon lifted to become sunny but then clouded over. Cycled to Limeuil on to Bousson de Cadouinn then stopped for lunch at St. Cyprien. After lunch cycled on to La Roque-Gageac where at a bend in the river there is a village with the houses built into the rock.

Further on we started to climb, stopped to take this photo of the Monfort Chateau and then up to the Cingle of Monfort, a fantastic view point where you look down onto the River Dordogne and the surrounding landscape far below. Cycled down hill and on to St. Julien-de-Lampon where we camped. 80 km
