End Of An Era

It's been a ride. Eight and a half years with my Boss D. The dreaded day has arrived, time to say goodbye to him. There are going to be big changes in the workhouse as we say goodbye to several teachers this year, D included: for our department, a new (younger) boss, new ideas, new ways of working together.

It has been such a privilege to have worked with D: his knowledge, patience, skill, humour and professionalism were second to none. It is hard to pinpoint exactly what it was that made it all work, but our like minded-ness is what made our partnership click I guess: both of us wanted the same thing, ideas bounced off each other and generally made is easy for both of us.

A ride? Its been a hell of a ride.

Meanwhile my (now ex) Boss D will move onto brighter things, new job maybe? Who knows. He will be missed by many.
