speckled wood

After not seeing many butterflies all summer it was a delight this afternoon to see this beautiful posing speckled wood. I think it’s a female. Garden again today and the weather’s nicely cooler. Sore knees as Ziggy stole my gardening cushion - I shall have to make him one of his own. Nothing captured on the trail camera except Ziggy who looked directly at it when he went out last night, and a couple of squirrels this morning.
