Today horses

A message appeared on the village Facebook page last night to warn that horses would be coming through the village as part of a long distance cross country competition. We thought it would be nice to see them on the moor so we packed lunch and headed off walking in the opposite direction to them. We managed to plan a route that crossed the path of three different distances so got to see 40+ horses and riders, all of them said hello and most of them had a quick chat as they passed. So lovely to see them on the moor and coming down the lane into the village. No rain but a bit cooler than yesterday.
