Happy Bastille Day
Bastille Day is the name given in English-speaking countries to the French National Day, which is celebrated on 14 July each year. In France, it is formally called La Fête Nationale. We were in Killearn celebrating the day with some French friends. Such another glorious day perfect for sitting outside drinking Pims and having a good time. Then retuning from a loo break I encountered a scene from the Mary Celeste everyone had vanished just leaning chairs and plastic cups blowing in the wind. Then I heard cheering sounds emanating from the TV room. The Tour de France 2013, stage 15 was ending and Chris Froome had stormed to victory. Another busy day for British sporting fans as England managed to overcome Australia in the test match as well. sacré bleu!
