Cotehele
My poor daughter had a hard time at work. She was on duty overnight and one of the residents had a serious seizure which she though was going to kill him. When I went to pick her up, she was in floods of tears and was brought out to the car by her supervisor. When she got home, she collapsed into her mum's arms, and then had a sleep in our bed.
While she was asleep, she was phoned to say that the seizure hadn't been as bad as she thought and he was feeling much better. She has a week off, now, so that should give her a chance to get over it a bit. Hopefully, the next occasion won't be quite so traumatic for her.
I went to Cotehele House this morning, with a view to getting some pictures of the gardens. While they were very beautiful, I think they will be even better in about a month. There was quite a lot of green between the colours, but the flowers in bloom were stunning. If you are down in Cornwall on holiday, the house (National Trust) is well worth a visit and there are stunning views from the grounds.
We had the mother-in-law round for dinner this evening and she enjoyed having the cooking done for her. She is always appreciative of my cooking, which is nice. After tea, we sat in the garden for a bit (much cooler after another stunningly hot day), then took her home and watered the garden after that.
Hope everyone has managed to take advantage of the good weather. Sounds like it might go on into next week for a while.
