Safe and comfortable.
Isofix bars, support leg, the green indicators confirm that it’s fitted ok. Solid piece of kit, which means it’s heavy to carry and manoeuvre! I refitted it into our car today, as we’re childminding tomorrow.
Our grandson’s seat turns within the chassis shell to allow us to put him in etc. Like many seats it’s apparently suitable for years to come; big changes from “back in the day” - when seats were secured by the seat belt, and the wee passenger eventually graduated to a booster seat (essentially just a cushioned base).
We had a walk locally late in the afternoon. Ended up having four conversations with people we’ve known for over 30 years in each case! A half hour planned outing ended up being almost 2 hours. It was a nice afternoon and interesting to hear their news. The first encounter included a dear couple, where he’d bought a convertible yesterday and was showing it to his infant grandson - he’s always fancied one, so why not. And his wife is such good fun. They’re great craic, as are their grown up offspring. A great family. The second were folks who once stayed a street away, moved locally and now they’ve downsized to nearby; they’ve been gutting and refurbishing their new home and garden. We know their younger son best out of their offspring. Thirdly, we walked with a recently widowed neighbour. We ended up discussing meals and menus. And lastly, it was another neighbour on her first solo lap on part of the route we had just walked; she’d an accident at Easter, surgery, recuperation plan etc. No crutches today. She gave us plenty of grand-parenting tips!
More violent disturbance in parts of England. A dark period that started last Monday with shocking Southport murders.
Evening saw start of another stormy period.
