Lying across steps from Park Road,
Bac to work this morning. S needed the car so she came with me in the morning and I returned to Glen Eden Railway Station in the afternoon. Walked from the unit to the Grafton Station along Park Road.
Outhwaite Park is the highest point on the remnants of the Grafton ring. This ring is an almost circle adjacent to Pukekawa (Auckland Domain). A number of small scoria cones lie beneath the surface. Some have been quarried, and others ignored. This one is a restful park.
Except that some violence was visited upon a tree in Outhwaite Park. Whatever broke the tree, created a picture calling out for interpretation. I am sure many will have made some sense out of the scattered remnants of the tree.
