Horse Island

Arrived in Achiltiebuie after a grand drive west from Bonar Bridge. Not sunny today but the visibility was good and the mountains of Assynt put on a lovely show - Suilven looked particularly stunning.

Our cottage is several miles from the village and has splendid views onto, I think it must be, The Minch. We can see the ferry leaving Ullapool for Stornoway. Right in front is Horse Island where I glimpsed this little patch of light.
