Protected

This is such a sweet front yard with everything so well-tended, including what must be the best of the best: the espaliered apple trees have pretty mesh bags over some of the fruit to protect them from insects. Maybe they're going to enter the fruit in the State Fair or something.
A day of getting the yard ready before our trip. Also, a day of big changes in our plans: we've backed out of our stay in East Glacier, MT, because transportation anywhere was impossible to find. Plus, it could very well be covered in forest fire smoke. Oh who knows! Maybe I'm just going to be glad to go (to ND) and to come right back home.
