Reductio ad Absurdum (MM550)

I suppose I have been fortunate in my career to see communication technology go from wholly analogue to near wholly digital.   Gill and I did write each other letters - lots of them - with fountain pens on 'paper by the pound '  ... we still have those letters.  I don't suppose we'll be keeping any WhatsApp messages.

In this blip, my mobile is connected to the camera's internal WiFi, through which it can control the camera and take it's own selfy .... I'm not entirely sure I am required at all in this arrangement!

Perhaps I should buy them a controllable tripod,  sign over my journal to the two of them and wander off into the sunset?
