saving the best for last

This is one of the two juvenile red-tailed hawks that was fledged in the neighborhood. This morning it was sitting on top of a tall post finishing off its breakfast. At first I didn't notice it was eating, and then I saw it pull a large hunk of meat with fur on it from between its feet. But did not get the shot. Here it is finishing off the entrails.
