Foodies festival

A very early start for a Sunday so I was glad we’d called it a day at 8pm yesterday. The choir I sing with was performing at the Edinburgh event of the nationwide Foodies Festival and the buses are quite infrequent on a Sunday.

I made it to Inverleith park in good time but there was a delay in opening the gates so we hung around for quite a while before we were allowed to enter and get set up. The attendees were kept outside for our first 3 tracks but were still appreciative. We performed twice, once at the gate as it opened up, and again just after 12 at the main stage. The weather stayed dry thankfully. It was fun.

We were allowed up to 4 free tickets (which was just as well as they were charging £21 a head for entry. No freebies inside and food and drink prices were on the high side. Mr PHL came down with Phin and my friend Susan came along too as well as Miss PHL and one of her friends.

We had a bite to eat after the second performance and Ohin was reasonably well behaved until he slipped his collar and we chased him for about 10 minutes until we finally caught him.

Bought some lovely cheese and some very sweet fudge and we’re home by mid afternoon.
