Never noticed?

       I wonder if it used to be a gate?  Of all the houses/Bungalows on our street ours was the only one with a "pedestrian" entrance as well as the "Drive".
       A study of our front, once you know, will point out two vertical "cracks" where mate Bill filled in the gap.
        I can see no other reason for this funny filled in gap?  Not why I took it though; I was admiring the Lilies and wondering which Hydrangea they had.  I only saw the Gap @ edit.
