Flags and Trains

After our wee adventure yesterday, today was more sedate.  I did some weeding in the garden, then we popped out to the farm shop and Lanark for some essentials.  I took mum to the 'everything' shop in Lanark which is one of those old-fashioned tardis places that has everything from flower seeds to kettles to paint and door mats.  Mum got a small fireplace set.

We headed back home and mum helped out some more with the weeding then we went to Strathaven where I took mum through the park and up to the Jolly Jersey farm.  We had a cuppa and watched one of the cows for a milk and just enjoyed seeing them - they really do seem to be happy cows!  From there we then went for a relatively early dinner which was lovely. 

I did have plans to go badger watching, but the rain put and end to that so it was more olympics on the sofa for the evening! Blip is of the Strathaven model railway which is currently decked out in all manner of flags.
