Reluctant Walker

It was a day out with granddaughters today, and Mrs B thought we might persuade them to walk up Golden Cap – from Langdon Woods, halfway up, not from the beach at Seatown.  The weather was a touch damp, but we managed to get to a field below the top and have a picnic, while the rain increased.  But making it to the top was a step too far for this one, so I waited with her while the game elder granddaughter (15) accompanied her grandmother up the steep path.

There was no view of course, but that can be part of the memories: climbing Golden Cap in low cloud and rain.

This the view down to Seatown and another rockfall, just visible past the village, before the small spit of land.
