Strange place to pitch a tent

Today Ann worked until 2.30pm and she was really, really tired when she came home. Normally she takes me out as soon as she gets home but today she said, 'Trixie, I don't actually feel very well. I think I'm going to lie down for half an hour.' So that is what she did. Her intention was to take me for a lovely long afternoon walk but unfortunately her 'lie down' didn't make her feel any better. However by 3.30pm she thought I might need to go to the toilet so she said she'd take me into the field to play with my ball. I LOVE playing with my ball and to be honest, 15 mins of ball playing, tires me out much more than a couple of hours of walking, because I am constantly doing my speediest running.

Sooooooo.................... we went into 'MY' field (which is right next door to our house) and I had a lovely time playing with my ball. It didn't take long for me to need a 'flop down' so I went into my usual spot in the bushes and just look what we found....................... a tent?!!

Mmmmmm......................... we think someone might be living here. The tent was all closed up and we didn't think anyone was in it (because we couldn't see any movement inside) but no way was Ann going to open it up to check. There's a couple homeless people living in St Ives atm and they keep getting moved on, so we're wondering if one of them has acquired a tent and moved up here. Ann says we shall check it out again tomorrow and if it looks like someone is living/camping here she will report it to......................... who should she report it to? ….......The council I suppose.

On the other hand, it could just belong to kids who have been playing in it and have abandoned it. She says if it's still there tomorrow morning she may have to open it up to see what is inside. Let's hope she doesn't find a dead body! My human has a very vivid imagination!!! It's starting to rain now so at least if someone is living/camping in it, they've picked quite a sheltered spot.

After about 15 mins we came back indoors and Ann had to have another little lie down but she still feels a bit yuk. I was allowed to lie on the bed with her. She doesn't know what's wrong with her.  She just knows she's very tired and has no energy whatsoever.  Maybe, it's just old age. Lol!

................When she got up, I went outside onto the sun terrace to guard my ball for a bit.

….........................I really am the most adaptable little Collie pup ever.
