Well That Was A Surprise

I did not have a good night's sleep.
It was blowing a gale and chucking down with rain at 4.30am when I woke up......and was still raining when I got up at 6.30am (having never got back to sleep) but when I went into the kitchen I could see a rainbow. So I grabbed a camera and nipped outside and took  a handful of shots (3 more) before it could disappear. 
I downloaded the pictures, processed them and headed off to the shop.
I should have taken the camera with me because when I got there the rainbow was still there ... not full, not the double it had been, but broader and brighter. That was just over half and hour! Amazing.

The rest of the day had been spent at the lathe, weeding and watching the Olympics.
