"Please don't leave!"
Lemmy has grown quite attached to my SIL, Linda - here you see Lems begging Linda not to leave tomorrow.
Lemmy makes the trip from the rock wall in the front of our house, all the way around to the back patio/deck, looking for peanuts. Linda and I were sitting on the patio chatting and enjoying the butterfly garden when suddenly Lemmy appeared next to Linda's chair, looking up expectantly. Fortunately, we were prepared with plenty of peanuts. Life is good for chipmunks on our little corner of Tallyho.
The temps are climbing and expected to hit 99 by Thursday. Not looking forward to the next few days - nope, not at all. The only plus side is that the butterflies and dragons will all be in heaven with the heat. As for me, I'll be trying not to drown in a puddle of sweat.
Linda and Philip are leaving in the morning - can't believe it is already time for them to head back to Alabama. It will be very hard saying goodbye tomorrow, but they've got grandkids to get home to and a brand new addition to their household, a little dog named Sophie!
I posted 8 other photos from today (chipmunk, katydid, butterflies, a snowberry clearwing moth, and a few dragons) on Flickr, starting HERE.
Hope your week gets off to a good start. I look forward to catching up with everyone tomorrow.
Ciao!
Debbi
