OilMan and I have been addicted to watching the tour ever since we were stranded in a hotel room at Malpensa by the worst heat wave in years, and it was the only thing to watch. Lance was dominant at the time. Now he is "in disgrace" but it seems to me that he was just the subject of a vendetta by the French officials. The fact that they couldn't find anyone clean to take his place when he was stripped of his titles sort of tells the tale. It seems a more interesting and unpredictable race now, with lots of new blood.

Frankly, I don't know how any of them do it, even with performance enhancing drugs...
