Of the Berberis.thunbergii atropurpurea. Sits in the front garden and was planted some years back to deter anyone who wanted to come over the low wall instead of using the gates ;-)

Have had a busy day. Washing done, out on the line, and dry and ready for ironing. Went around the rear garden area with weedkiller, and already it shows signs of having to have done the job. it has been lovely to have the sun back again, but the wind has got up this afternoon. We did have rain lastnight and certainly the main water butt is full again.
