Backblip

After checking out, I went up the city centre to do a few things. I was surprised at how many shops didn’t open until 10am and generally how quiet it was. I was also surprised at the rough sleepers I saw and I also saw a couple of rats. Then I met my friend D for a lovely walk from the canal and around Willen Lake. It was very humid and we both enjoyed an ice cream. Then I drove home, getting back just before 5. I was so stiff from the car journey that I immediately fed the birds, watered the tubs in the front and back garden and did the unpacking - that helped a bit. A lovely weekend away.
