Charity shop day... well I say day but actually it's usually 9.30am until about 2pm so I'm only part-time!

My son and I had arranged that they come for dinner today, but he texted because his partner had sickness etc and could we rearrange for Thursday. Yes we could, but I did a shop on the way home anyway so that it was done.

I changed before walking to the allotment, I'd worn a longish dress to the shop which wasn't very suitable for watering and digging. The mangetout peas are more or less finished now as the pods are tougher. I may gather the small ones tomorrow or Thursday and then leave them. There are a few going to seed, which I'll save for next year.

The tomatoes, both at the allotment and at home, are developing. These are the three plants in a growbag outside the back door, the sunniest part of the garden. There are three varieties, beef, plum and cherry, which are a dark colour.
