Sunshine, poppies and hats

It has been a beautiful day. I spent a short while drawing and sketching figures on the beach.. there were plenty of people to choose from! Children digging and jumping while wearing bucket hats make the most lovely shapes! 
I watched a little of the Olympics and  finished up my first baby hat which I am delighted with.  I have never used a circular needle and so it has been fun learning about the magic loop. One down and plenty more free cotton yarn to go. 
The village doesn't feel as full this summer, I guess that people have headed abroad to escape the Great British summer.. all the more fun for us staying home but not so good for the shops.
