Or trying to be with limited time, lack of camera and lack of patience!

My dad went to the hospital himself today as I had meetings.  The OT introduced herself who told my dad my mum would not be discharged until the care package was in place - the care package consists of someone coming to the house every day to wash and dress my mum.  We were shocked as no-one has told us this.  Apart form anything else, she doesn't need this - she is more than capable!  We discussed having some aids fitted as her arthritis bothers her more than the after effects of the stroke but not once did we suggest she needed help so we have no idea where this has come from.

We had a family meeting this evening over FaceTime and all agreed that the longer she is in hospital the more it will affect her mental health ad her mobility.  She sits most of the day on the ward and has no-one to talk to as there are really poorly people on the ward - at least if she is home my dad can take her out for a run in the car somewhere or friends can pop in...
