Fyvie Castle
A morning visit to one of the Scottish National Trust's great old houses - Five Castle. Lots of fascinating, historic interiors and a delightful surrounding garden and park. The robin, sitting possessively by some punnets of raspberries, was remarkable.
Thence to Fraserburgh, which was less lovely. As, reputedly, Europe's leading shellfish port it was pretty much what one would expect. The lighthouse at Kinnaird Head was well-preserved. The nearby Museum of Scottish Lighthouses told us everything we needed to know about Scottish lighthouses.
