The Bay
Mid morning we travelled to the outskirts of Cardiff (South Wales, UK) to cycle the Taff Trail from Castle Coch to Penarth to spend some time with my dad. I deliberately missed breakfast and enjoyed a curried chicken and chips dinner with coffee at The Black & White Cafe on Penarth Road before we arrived at my dad's. A rare treat for me.
After a couple of hours with my dad, we continued the cycling across Cardiff Bay Barrage where I took the extra of the Pink Fisherman's Hut (see extra) before cycling past the front of The Welsh Assembly Building where I took the main of The Pier Head Building and the Big Wheel that appears almost a permanent fixture.
Cardiff Castle grounds are now open to the public for free so we pushed out bikes through to the rear entrance past the iconic Castle Keep. Good it's now free to see.
