Family Funeral Selfie

Our reason for gathering was truly sad, the funeral of Uncle Eddie, mum’s cousin and one of dad’s closest friends. He was a man capable of brightening any room or the darkest day and his signature party song is legendary in our family. However, it was lovely to see my siblings and we took the opportunity to take a family selfie for mum.

Talking of mum, she couldn’t make it, she was so upset about that, but she has the Covid. It hits her quite hard so she was tucked-up at home taking care of herself.

It was a lovely weather day so after the funeral I headed home to do some outdoor work and accepted a gift of steak, from a local farmer, intended for my neighbour. He was elsewhere so I popped it in my fridge and messaged him.
