A Painting in Glasgow Concert Hall

I was at the Concert Hall this afternoon for Coffee with Billy.
I saw a couple of similar Paintings by the same Artist
I can't remember his name but he was born in 1961 and Graduated from the Glasgow Art School in 1986.

The Painting reminds me of " The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" 
I don't think it is meant to be that subject.
