So the scan confirmed the diagnosis- I have a kidney stone thankfully it is the size that is passable so it is a watch and wait. Heavy duty painkillers, a drug that can help in passing them and advice on fluid intake , and I was discharged. Thankfully I’ve not been too bad today, but I am told that can change quite quickly - as I discovered yesterday morning.

We are looking after the lovely Florence the week after next and as we haven’t seen her for a while we’d arranged for them to come round so she remembered us and the house. It was just what I needed, and I am looking forward to the week after next.
