As Crystal Gayle might have said…
Don’t it make my brown shed grey…
All the fences are grey and the shed was desperately needing painted so I decided to go grey. I know from doing the fences that it takes at least 2, preferably 3, coats to cover the reddy brown known as Medium Oak so I fully expected to be there the whole afternoon. And I pretty much was. But the sun was shining, I had Mr Tibbs for company and the radio to keep me going.
Once the second coat on the shed was fine I decided to leave the third coat for another day and turned my attention to the window sills. All the downstairs ones have had a fresh coat of magnolia masonry paint, and the one green fence beside the water feature has a quick spruce up to cover where I’d power washed the paint off. Oops…
Much more energy today and I’ve concluded the problem yesterday was lack of coffee, cycling and sunshine. Fully stocked up on all three this morning and had a very productive afternoon as a result :-)
