(219) Demolition

Rothesay House, a disused council office building in the centre of Glenrothes, has been fenced off for some time as the interior is being stripped out. That process is obviously finished as work has now started to demolish the structure. I sent the flying camera up for look this evening, much to the annoyance of the resident bird population. Extra today is a detail shot from a storage unit I'm building for the spare room. Having looked at various different materials I settled on 18mm plywood. Although it's cheaper to buy most materials from timber merchants our local B&Q store offers a cutting service which quickly and accurately reduced an 8' x 4' board to a collection of component parts so that was the better option. The fact that I can't transport an 8' x 4' board also influenced my decision somewhat. The unit is now glued and screwed together and is pretty much bombproof.
