Wound up in Wexford

Evening entertainment

After a long day of flute playing, it is quite tempting to just retire to my room and relax.  But the participants on the course are such an eclectic mix of musicians that the evening concert is always good.

Today we were treated to a saxophone quartet, playing part of what was probably the very first quartet for saxophones by Jean-Baptiste Singelée.  Amongst the other entertainers were an unconventional trio of oboe, banjo and triangle.  And a duet of trumpets.
