Preparing for Grapevines

A few days ago I posted an image which showed the Pump-shed on Meadowbank Vineyard. It also showed an expanse of cleared land which is to be prepared for future vineyard expansion.
When I was out walking the Taylor River tracks with the dogs this morning I saw that there was a bulldozer working the land for the extended vineyard. The bulldozer has been working for only two days and already much of the rough land has been smoothed out and what appears to be good clean topsoil has been spread to even out the contours.
I love watching big machinery in action and thus I and the dogs spent quite some time watching the bulldozer at work. Here it is spreading the topsoil ready for planting.
The rough ground can be seen in the foreground and the backdrop of mountains includes Mt Riley and Sunday in the Richmond Range. A truly lovely site for the future growing of grapes for our internationally renowned Marlborough wines.
I will follow this site up in future blips.
