A jammy day
I had a busy morning travelling round the city, all to get two pots of homemade plum jam.
What it was, is that my local bank branch (when I lived in West Edinburgh, sold homemade pots of jam in aid of MacMillan Cancer Research) and despite now living further east, I still go back as I know everyone by name and the pots of marmalade and jam are just amazing.
I must be the only person who travels across the city to go to a bank for jam and then doesn’t need any financial services while there.
However, this just reinforces to me the importance of community and human interaction.
After that, I came back home, stopping off at our travel agents (see extra) to say hello to them and pick up some cruising brochures (old school again) for one of our neighbours who is thinking about going on one.
Last stop was Ocean Terminal to see our cruise liner that we are going on next week (see extra), which is currently acting as a floating hotel for people visiting the Edinburgh Festivals.
A nice morning all in all.
