Sadly depleted

We first spotted this display of  Great Hairy Willowherb a few days ago when driving home from Bourne, and it’s on the north side of the turning off the A15 as you turn in to Rippingale (see location).  It was resplendent with the whole hedge solid pink, and I resolved to blip it.

Sadly by the time I got to achieve the shot (this afternoon with heavy lorries thundering past Biskit and me standing on a narrow grass verge) it had depleted to this, but I wanted it for Bob’s WidWed challenge of ‘Natural World’, and Miranda’s ‘Wild Flower Week’.  So success of a sort.
