Fowey

(pronounced "Foy").  We took a bus to Fowey on the south Cornish coast today. Cornish buses are wonderful, reliable and cheap. As local buses, they go to all the paces the Cornish want them to go to - all the little villages, supermarkets, hospital, etc. So not the quickest way for tourists to get around, but a great way to see life here as it is lived. And no driving, navigating or trying to find a parking space.

Fowey is lovely, a historic place tumbling down to an estuary with lots of yachts. Interesting shops and art &craft galleries. For a change we had tapas in a Spanish wine bar. And took the ferry to Polruan on the opposite bank. A lovely day out.
