Stourhead

I met up with an old friend and work colleague at Stourhead Gardens today.  I arrived a little early so that I could take a few photos beforehand as we hadn't met up for a number of years.  The weather was pretty cold and grey as I arrived but it continued to change throughout the day giving us moments of bright sunshine and the odd light shower.  

This shot is one of the classic views of the gardens.  The scene is very green and even the water in the lake is pretty green at the moment.  There are signs out warning about the cyanobacteria in the lake.

We had a good time catching up with our lives and also exploring the gardens and the area around the house where there is an interesting photographic exhibition at the moment.
