We have a few in our back yard reminding me of my paternal grandmother who grew these at the side of their home. A home with many memories as it was where my Dad grew up and later my younger brother’s family lived there.
In between years one of my college friends family also lived there and my parents charged them very little. It helped my friend get through law school with such affordable rent. One of my dear girlfriend loved there too for a few years as well as one of my cousins. So the home itself had so many memories and eventually was sold along with the land to become a parking lot for their new community library. Bittersweet to have it torn down .
