"You Have to be Shiny to Show!"
It was Senior Day at the Shiawassee County Fair. Just because I'm old, I got free entry, a free lunch, and free bingo (didn't play.)
Although it is not in the same place where we used to go, I still consider it to be the county fair of my youth. It really is a magical place.
One of my favorite things at the fair to see is how the kids get their animals ready to show. In this case, perhaps the kid is off having a corn dog or a deep-fried Oreo, because I think this is dad giving the sheep a bath.
After 2 different trips through the animal barns and seeing the 1 p.m. tractor parade, I left the fair and went to a car show in Linden, a neighboring village. I would have put a couple of cars into my extras, but the same basic show is coming to our city tomorrow night, so I'll probably be blipping a vehicle on the morrow.
