Gigafinal

In Manchester today so that Matthew can play in the 'Northern Gigafinal' chess tournament. To get here he had to get through two qualifying tournaments, and it's effectively the UK semi-final. Interesting definition of 'Northern' cos there were players from as far south as Gloucestershire!

He finished with 3 points out of a possible 6. Considering that he started playing competitive chess only a few months ago, he did really well. He was very happy to get three points, and I was very proud of the way he handled the occasion.
