Glen Gairoch

Glen Gairoch is a superlative distillery - not only for the quality of whisky produced but also being the easternmost Scotch whisky producing distillery in Scotland (and some say, superfluously, the world.) On the way back from there we visited the small town of Turriff, the home of the largest two-day agricultural show in Scotland.

Last evening, we had a late stroll around the Whitehills harbour, enjoying the birds feeding in the rocky pools at low tide. My favourite was what I understood to be a whimbrel (which could easily be mistaken for a curlew.)
