Back Gate Abstract, Aylesford
After a day out yesterday we decided to have a quietish day in. Managed to fit in two sessions of exercise and then it was just watching some of the Olympics on the telly, going through old photography magazines and making lunch from yesterday's leftovers and a tin of beans - so an exciting day all round. Today's image is an abstract made up of rotten wooden slats from our old back garden gate that blew down in a storm a few years ago, a knackered kitchen unit top and a bit of a dead plant!
As of brushing up my technical skills I did try back button focus and as I thought it suits things like street photography more where you have a moving subject that you are trying to capture but I'm glad it's another tool in my photographic arsenal.
